Caring About Our Quality of Life
Talbot County's quality of life is defined by its beautiful waterways, historic towns, safe neighborhoods, and strong sense of community. Protecting these assets requires principled leadership that prioritizes the essentials.
My focus on the County Council will be to champion policies that enhance our daily lives and secure our future:
- Prioritizing Public Safety: Fully funding and supporting the Talbot County Sheriff's Office, EMS, and Volunteer Fire Departments is my highest priority. Safe communities are the foundation of a good quality of life.
- Responsible Stewardship: We must protect our precious land and water with practical, locally-driven conservation efforts. This means working with our farmers and property owners on sustainable solutions, not relying on overly burdensome regulations handed down from Annapolis.
- Infrastructure Essentials: Ensuring our roads, bridges, and critical services are properly maintained and future-proofed. This is basic government responsibility that directly impacts safety and commerce.
- Supporting Families: Advocating for accountability and fiscal efficiency within our education system to ensure our children receive a high-quality education without placing undue stress on the county budget.
Our quality of life is not guaranteed—it must be actively protected through common-sense governance and clear priorities.
