Who Funds My Campaign and Why It Matters

Voters deserve to know who's funding their candidates and what those contributors expect in return. So I'm publishing this to be straightforward about how my campaign is funded and what that means for how I'd serve on the County Council.

My campaign is funded by individuals. Neighbors, friends, local business owners, and people who've known my family for years. They support me because they believe in me, not because they want something from me.

That matters because it means I answer to the people of Talbot County. When I take a position on the council, the only interest I'm protecting is yours.

Where My Support Comes From

Across four election cycles, my campaign has been funded by individuals and local businesses right here in our community, not corporate interests or political action committees. These are long-standing relationships built over years, in some cases across generations. They're not transactional.

I've voluntarily filed campaign finance reports in every cycle I've run. This is the first race where state law actually requires me to file as a county council candidate. I believe voters have a right to know how their candidates are funded.

How This Shapes How I'll Govern

I've made transparency a priority in every campaign because I believe it should be a priority in government. When I served as Town Council President, we focused on fiscal responsibility and open governance. That's the same approach I'll bring to the County Council.

I'll read the budget line by line. I'll ask hard questions. And I'll never forget that I work for everyone in Talbot County, not just the people who show up to a public hearing.
