Why I'm Running: My Family, Our Future
While public service is driven by principles, it is ultimately rooted in the personal—in the hope we have for our children and the community we want to protect for them.
My decision to run for Talbot County Council is simple: I am running for Iryna, Maria, and Frankie.
My wife, Iryna, and I are raising our daughter, Maria (almost 3), and our son, Frankie (2 months), right here in the community my family first put down roots in the 1970s. Everything I advocate for on the campaign trail comes back to ensuring they—and everyone in Talbot County—have the opportunity to thrive in a safe, prosperous, and principled community.
- Safety in Our Neighborhoods: As a parent, funding for our Sheriff's Office and first responders is non-negotiable. Our family deserves the security that comes from fully supported public safety.
- Investing in Education: I want to ensure that our county's education system is fiscally responsible and focused on delivering the best results in the classroom for our children.
- Fiscal Responsibility: We need to keep tax rates stable so that families like ours, and seniors on fixed incomes, can afford to live, work, and stay in Talbot County without facing an ever-increasing financial burden.
- Preserving Our Home: I am committed to preserving the natural beauty, small-town character, and healthy waterways that make Talbot County a unique and wonderful place to raise a family.
My commitment is not just political; it's deeply personal. When I vote on the County Council, I will always ask: "Is this the best decision for the long-term well-being of the families, like mine, who call this county home?"
I am fighting for my family, and I will fight for yours!
